This is a fresh, stainless steel-fermented Chenin Blanc with gentle lees contact (about 2 months) for added texture and weight without oak influence. It features appealing stone fruit aromas (nectarine, white peach, apricot, quince) with citrus notes (lemon, lime, lemon zest), hedgerow/herbal elements, and subtle spice or floral hints. On the palate, it is crisp and bright with vibrant acidity, succulent fruit, light lees texture, and a clean, refreshing finish with citrus pith or subtle spice. It is dry, light-to-medium bodied, and designed as an everyday, versatile sipper that over-delivers for the price.

Winemaking: Hand-harvested in cool mornings, de-stemmed and whole-bunch pressed, settled overnight, fermented with selected yeasts in stainless steel tanks, then blended and bottled after lees aging.

Food Pairings:

  • Seafood and fish (e.g., grilled fish, steamed mussels, white fish, salmon).
  • Salads, soft cheeses, lighter poultry, or as a refreshing aperitif/summer sipper.
  • It pairs well with Asian-inspired dishes or anything needing vibrant acidity to cut through richness.

Critics Reviews / Scores:

  • Gismondi On Wine: 88–89 points (multiple notes). Praised for crisp lemon-lime/peach/herb character, lees texture, brightness, and value. Notes the distinctive (if quirky) packaging.
  • Average critic score for the vintage around 88–89/100, with strong user ratings. It is seen as impressive and smart for the price point.

Other vintages receive similar positive feedback for fruit purity and refreshment.

Drink Window:

  • Best enjoyed young and fresh (ready to drink upon release). For the 2019 vintage, it was at or near peak around 2020–2022+; drink sooner rather than later to capture vibrant fruit (generally within a few years of vintage). It lacks the structure for long-term aging.
